This beautiful craftsman house offers the best value in the Gorge with amazing views and easy accessibility to all Hood River restaurants and shops! Enjoy your breakfast on the covered deck outside or from the inside nook while gazing at the Columbia River with Mt. Adams in the background. In addition to the marvelous views of the Hood River bridge, White Salmon bluff and the 'Event Site', this home is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Hood River. Take advantage of this fantastic location to easily walk downtown to Mike's Ice Cream, Double Mountain Brewery, Full Sail Brewery or walk the famous city stairs!
The Columbia street house is a 3 story, in the 'Craftman' style featuring a living room with original brick and updated gas fireplace. The adjacent dining room shows off beautifully maintained original woodwork as well hardwood floors throughout the house. All floors have plenty of windows and easy viewing! Outside is just as beautiful as inside! Sit on the front porch in the Adirondack chairs and watch Hood River drive by, enjoying the well done landscaping. The main floor bedroom(1) also has air conditioning and new windows with the half bathroom located off this bedroom. The walkout basement with 2 bedrooms on the lower level has a common seating/sleeping area and a full bathroom with shower. This level is not completely finished, the ceiling rafters are exposed but the bathroom is completely finished. This level of the house has the walk out basement to a very welcoming patio. It is great for gear storage as well.

Wonderful spot for my son-in-law and his brothers before his wedding. The group had never been to Hood River and thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the beautiful view. They spent their mornings drinking coffee and admiring the beauty of the Columbia River from the deck. Thank you!

Great property for our stay! Easy walk to downtown and the farmers market and the view from the back porch was my happy place! The house was charming and beds upstairs were so comfy. Kitchen was great with lots of supplies. We had a great view of the river and the 4th of July fireworks!

Amazing clean property with well design kitchen and well stocked for cooking . The deck had a barbecue and great views would stay here again. The back yard was spectacular

Beautiful house in a great location. Clean and well kept for the most part, except:Downstairs is very rough. I think it is telling that the listing doesn't include photos of the basement bedrooms, just one general photo of the basement "living area". One of the bedrooms does not have a window and looks like an old storage closet, and the other has small window that is level with the driveway so cars drive right by your head. Both of these spaces are sparsely decorated, dim, and dreary. It is a little musty down there also, feels like a garage. Very different from the cozy and decorated feel of upstairs. It felt like the people who got assigned the basement sleeping area got the short end of the stick. I think that at the rate this place goes for, the basement needs to be properly finished. Or at least accurately shown. Overall a good stay and we would probably stay again, but maybe with a smaller party so no one has to use the basement rooms. The main sticking point for me is that we paid something like 1600 for 3 nights and half our party had to sleep in a musty basement that was not fully shown in the listing.
