A Wonderful Four Bedroom Village Area Cottage situated on beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia, known for its southern history and charm. 'Mermaid Cottage' is located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and village shops.
This smoke-free home has all the amenities you could want. Situated two blocks off the beach on a quiet street lined with 150 year old live oak trees, you will enjoy the privacy and special ambiance that 'Mermaid Cottage' has to offer.
Three bedrooms and two and one-half baths are in the main house with two living areas. One bedroom with queen bed and a futon, kitchenette and private bath are located in the guest house, perfect place to put the kids!! Total of 2,000 square feet of indoor living space!
Enjoy the privacy of the courtyard area, perfect for catching a nap, outdoor grilling, or swimming in the heated pool, one of the few on the island. Or catch a few games on our outdoor ping-pong table. Rate includes heating pool

Everything about Mermaid Cottage was wonderful! The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was great and we thoroughly enjoyed spending hours outside next to it. Martha also thought of every imaginable thing a family would need for a great trip to St. Simon's Island. The kitchen was well supplied and there were plenty of towels. There were also ample beach chairs and a beach umbrella, which made packing for our trip very easy. The cottage is in a great location. Both Pier Village and the beach were within a 10 minute walk. We truly enjoyed our time staying at Mermaid Cottage and cannot say enough positive things about this location.

We loved our stay at the Mermaid Cottage! Our family group of 10 consisting of 3 generations had plenty of room to spread out or gather together. We loved the beautiful beachy artwork all over the house that added to the experience without seeming cluttered. The kids especially loved the heated pool that included shallow and deep ends and a basketball hoop! Felt like someone cared about providing everything we might need - abundant beach and bath towels, kitchenware, beach chairs, games, detergent, even tissues! The walk to the beach took about 8 minutes and there was an option of public parking (we both walked and drove). We wished the beach had more waves, but calm is good too. We would definitely consider staying at the Mermaid Cottage again!

Great relaxing place to house family as we celebrated our 100th annual reunion at crooked river.Easy kitchen, great pool, tons of table talk with my 99 year old aunt. See you next year!

The Mermaid Cottage was a “home away from home” for us for a month and we hope to return. It’s a great location with an easy walk to the beach and downtown. The cottage is well equipped with quality linens, paper goods and kitchen ware. No thin towels or scratchy toilet paper! The heated pool and guest house set this property above the competition. The owner was very communicative and responded immediately to a very minor problem with the dishwasher. In four weeks that was our only issue, and it's hardly worth mentioning. This property is highly recommended!
