Its history and warmth, in such a lovely setting. The room (Hepburn) wtb its four poster was warm and comfortable. Nice and clean, the hosts were thoughtful, having ensured the room was warm before I arrived.
The shower was temperamental, switching on/ off and it would have been perfect if warmer.

Grounds gorgeous, upgraded upon arrival which was appreciated, no extra charge. Everything needed plus more within our room. Lovely attentive host with suggestions on local places to eat. 8 min drive from Gatwick airport so location spot on

Once parked I was welcomed by a lady I assume was the owner or manager, she took my case in being disabled was very helpful. my room was spacious and full of character.and very near the car park, the location for crematorium was great.
But I did not see anyone after that there was no phone. The bathroom was the let down very small tight for space am used to getting shower gel ,shampoo and conditioner, on closer look it was very grubby.no hand towel only 2 bath towels.
