About this cabin rental
Our family built this home in the 80s and it has been the gathering spot for many fun and relaxing trips with family and friends. We love this location where we enjoy the beauty of Yosemite without the crowds and tour buses. We continue to use the home so you'll find the house is stocked with kitchenware, basic bath needs, books, games, DVD movies, and old time personal affects.
Single story, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room, laundry room, full kitchen and kitchen island/breakfast bar, front and rear porches, driveway parking.
The house features large front and back porches with views of trees and a meadow. The front and back doors have camera door bells. The front door enters to a large living room with wood burning stove followed by a full kitchen and dining room, all with great windows. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on either side of the living room. With driveway space for three vehicles and bedrooms separated by large living space, this house is great for a couples trip, multiple family or friend groups, and families who desire private beds and baths. The house has laundry washer and dryer, dishwasher, heating and air conditioning, satellite TVs, WiFi Internet, and telephone.
Check in after 4pm and check out before 11am. Due to covid cleaning we need more time to clean the house and rugs. No Pets without permission.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids (5, 8, 11) loved our stay at Joseph’s home. It had all of the comforts of home, space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing, and fun games and entertainment to bring us back together. The beds were comfortable and little extras were provided (condiments, ample cleaning supplies, toys, books, games). My husband loved that the grill was pristine and there was propane provided for grilling out. My kids loved the proximity to the swimming hole near swinging bridge, and I enjoyed the peaceful back patio. Joseph is a knowledgeable, communicative, and helpful host. It was a pleasure interacting with an independent host and not a large property management company. We would absolutely return to this home if given the opportunity. Thank you, Joseph!

Older house, but loads of fun for the whole family. Great communication with the owner, and plenty of supplies around to have a great trip. Location is an excellent way to get inside the Yosemite gates and save at least 30 minutes (and probably more) of driving from the south. We loved all of the vintage items throughout the house. The internet did drop to very low speed (below 10mbps) toward the end of the stay due to ATT issues, so keep that in mind if you plan to work or stream a lot of video. Having a washer and dryer was a key feature for us. We were on a multi-stop trip, so being able to do laundry in the evenings without waiting for it at a laundromat was a time saver. If we were to make the trip again, I'll definitely be looking at this cabin first!

There was just too much stuff everywhere! Not just on walls & shelves, but the drawers were full of items, too. I felt like we were staying in someone else's house.
