I made a reservation at this property to have a place to stay during my visit to Paris. Little could I have imagined that this apartment would play a significant part in a wonderful experience. The building's 17th century heritage breathes deeply throughout, from the entrance into the courtyard and through the passage up the spiral staircase . Yet, the massive door into the courtyard and the doors into the staircase operate electronically from your key fob. The apartment was nicely appointed in classic modern European style.
Accordingly, everything was pristine clean.
I loved my evenings in the apartment. The WIFI is excellent, but I mostly enjoyed the ambience of the apartment.
I can't say enough good about Jean Marie. He was the consummate host. From the beginning, he contacted me to ensure I knew how to find the apartment from the airport. He then sent detailed instructions. He was waiting for me when I arrived at 10 Rue Aubriot. I could call him on his cell at any time for anything. On the second day, I forgot how to exit the courtyard to the street. He first instructed me, and then came to show me the location of a small button. He was always cheery and ready to talk. I feel like I found a new friend.

I’d liked the price of the studio, I liked the new shower, the bed was comfortable, the host speaks English and helpful. There is no elevator to the fourth floor studio. There is no AC, but there was a fan. I opened the skylight window after a storm had passed through the previous day and it leaked water onto the bed, leaving a wet 12” circle. I will come again in the future.

The info on the website should be changed / clarified:
The apartment is very tiny - about 15 m2 altogether - one room.
Located under the roof - with some restrictions as to storage. For two small people max. Very warm when the weather is sunny and hot - during our stay end of May 2026.
We had to run a large fan all day and night - no good night sleeps.
The kitchen equipment level is not great.
There are 95 stairs to climb (with luggage) - no elevator.

Great location - in the middle of Marais = fancy area with lots of entertainment.
Just 15 minutes walk from Notre dame and 30 minutes to Quartier Latin / Sorbonne.
Metro and busses all nearby.
