Amazing Waterfront Home! Westside of San Juan Island!! Whale View Haven!
This remodeled home that sleeps 6, located on the Westside of San Juan Island, is the perfect getaway for groups or couples wanting to relax and enjoy what the island has to offer.
Enjoy watching wildlife off the water-view deck as the local birds enjoy the bird feeders, and maybe spot a harbor seal playing in the water below. The renovated gourmet kitchen boasts 2 ovens, stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances and fully stocked cookware. The kitchen is situated to enjoy the expansive views while preparing your meals. You may catch a glimpse of a passing Orca Whale while pouring your morning coffee!
The primary bedroom located on the main floor has a King size bed and a grand view of the water. The picture-window in the primary bedroom can be opened up to enjoy a cool breeze as you wake up. The main floor queen bedroom also has a view of the water. Between the two main-floor bedrooms in the hallway you will find the full bathroom.
The downstairs extra sleeping room feels like a separate wing of the home with a sitting area, an attached bathroom, and a Queen-Sized bed overlooking the water.
A perfect getaway for a few couples or small family with older children. Families with small children should use caution with this high bank waterfront.
This house is equipped with mini-split heat/cool systems in the main level TV/Dining area and in the downstairs area only.
There is NO Cell Coverage at this property. Long Distance is provided. The Wifi supplied at this property is adequate enough for making calls on your personal cell.
**For safety reasons the wood burning stove is not available for guest use.

Pets are not allowed at this property.

We recently stayed at this property in the San Juan Islands and overall had a pleasant experience. The home is older and shows its age in some areas, but it is well maintained and full of character. The views were amazing and were absolutely the highlight of our stay. Being able to enjoy the birds and beautiful scenery from the property made the trip very memorable. The quiet location between Roche and Friday Harbor was perfect.Our main concerns were the limited supply and the condition of the linens/bedding. Additional towels would have been appreciated, especially for a longer stay for our group of 6. While there was a laundry machine available, we were on the go and weren't planning on doing a lot of laundry during our stay. The bedding also felt worn and dated and could benefit from being updated or replaced to improve guest comfort. The downstairs bedroom would benefit from a king sized bed as there is certainly space.There are also signs all over the house that left us feeling a bit uncomfortable to break property rules without fear of punishment/fines. Don't use the fireplace or pay $200, don't use this room or you'll pay $200, don't check out late or you'll pay $200 or 1/2 a night's stay... And when we were pulling out at 9:55am on our final day there was someone at the property making sure we were actually leaving on time!! It felt very odd and made it a little hard to settle in comfortably - We were fine with the policies but they could have been communicated in a friendlier or more welcoming way.Despite these issues, the location and spectacular views made for an enjoyable visit. With a few updates and better stocking of linens, this property could provide an even better guest experience.

This mid-century home has windows galore in every room of the house with spectacular views of the Haro Strait. We saw several Dall's porpoises, we saw harbor seals nearly every day, untold sightings of eagles, and the peacefulness was incredible. For the bird lovers there is also a bird feeder with seed onsite, and it's a birder's paradise! We took a kayaking trip with Crystal Seas (HIGHLY recommended) and paddled past the house, which was cool - we got to see it from both directions! There was plenty of room for our family of six. This property is close to Lime Kiln Park and Snug Harbor and only a few minutes away from Friday Harbor. If being on the west side is important to you, I'm not sure you can do better than this property!

A beautiful location and our second year at this spot. So I was surprised to find hand soap that was watered down, a toaster that did not toast and a coffee maker that took 20 plus minutes to make 2 cups of coffee. The TV appeared to offer many stations but all appeared to require an extra charge. We brought our ROKU and connected to the system.
The house rental cost increased 40% from last year, yet the owners appeared to do nothing to improve/ maintain their home.
