We enjoyed our week at this property and had a wonderful family vacation. The location was excellent—centrally located for exploring the wine country and surrounding towns. The house was clean, spacious, and very well stocked for a large group. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather comfortably.We stayed during one of the hottest weeks of the year, and having only one air conditioning unit in a four-story house made it difficult to keep the home comfortable. The attic bedroom was especially hot and essentially unusable. After we raised the issue, the owner told us additional AC units were supposed to have been installed before our arrival, but the handyman had not completed the work. Given the forecast, this should have been addressed before guests arrived.The well water was another concern. The filtration system appears to need maintenance, as the water had a strong sulfur odor. Signs above every sink recommended drinking bottled water, suggesting the owner was aware of the issue. We purchased a large amount of bottled water for the week because we were not comfortable drinking the tap water. This should be disclosed in the listing so guests can plan accordingly.Overall, the property has a lot to offer because of its location, cleanliness, and spacious layout. With adequate cooling and repairs to the filtration system, it would be an outstanding place to stay.

Thank you, Gary! The accommodations were spacious and well appointed. Wonderful wrap around porch with ample seating all around. Great indoor outdoor flow and nice lawn. The kitchen had about everything you could need. We were a small group but could easily see how this rental could accommodate large gatherings. Great sunset and star viewing.

This is a very large older home. Our family lived the kitchen, wrap around porch and large dining room.We were unable to swim in the lake except by boat out in the center. The sulfur water was a bit strong and there were bees in the attic and ants in the kitchen. Nothing you would not see in an older house.
