About this cabin rental
Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, Fort Michaels sits on 1.5 acres of wooded, creek-side property located conveniently between the East Entrance of Yellowstone and historic Cody, WY. This cabin offers immaculate yet rustic indoor accommodations that include a fully equipped kitchen and laundry appliances to make you feel at home. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas and a hybrid propane/charcoal grill so you can enjoy the mountains as you cook a well deserved meal after a long day of exploring. This property is perfect for small groups (max 4) and couples who want a private place to return to in the evenings; however, it's so beautiful that you might consider spending a day by the creek reading a book and listening to the birds.

It’s a cute cozy cabin. We thought Chippy the squirrel that liked being fed almonds was very cool. We love it and would definitely stay again.

We used this cabin as a base camp to the east entrance of Yellowstone, for that purpose it was great. There were lots of thoughtful touches in the cabin and wr had most of what we needed. One large problem was the temperature. It was 90-95 degrees while we were there and the cabin has no a/c. There were fans provided, but we could not stay in the cabin during the hotter parts of the day, it was simply unbearable. It cooled off at night and stayed cool for a couple hours in the mornings. A window a/c unit in the common room would be a huge improvement.We loved the beautiful outdoor space, but the deck and bridge to the creek need some tlc. Lots of birds and squirrels made sitting on the deck furniture very nice and my son loved giving the provided corn to the animals. If the temp had been cooler, it would be a perfect cabin.

Me and my wife love this cozy beautiful home, Mackenzie is an amazing host and became a friend . Perfect location and hidden enough for peace and quiet and relaxation. We will always come back here when we visit wapiti it is our home away from home and if you see a lil grey squirrel it’s probably Chippy as we named him give him some corn from on top of the fridge and he loves almonds! You might just make friend for life ! Mackenzie thank you for allowing us to our time there , see ya next year I hope! A & D

We stayed 4 nights at the cabin. We had two of our grandsons with us, ages 11 and 16. The cabin fit the four of us perfectly. The host was fantastic! 10/10 would stay here again!! Highly recommend!!
