About this apartment rental

The ad on Airbnb is a fake!!!
The rental price and final cleaning fee are mandatory for this listing on Vrbo and are included in the total amount billed. Mandatory tourist tax (5 CHF per night per person, children up to age 5 are free; ages 6 and up: 2.50 CHF per day per child; and the accommodation fee of 1 CHF per adult per night) as well as any charges for bed linens (19 CHF per bed) and towels (11 CHF per package) must be paid separately to us, the owners of the apartment. Our vacation apartment is located in German-speaking Switzerland in the Bernese Oberland, in the Simmental valley in Lenk (elevation 1,068 m above sea level) in the “Neufeld” neighborhood, about 1,000 m away, midway between the Betelberg/Leiterli ski lifts (up to 2,000 m) and Metsch (up to 2,200 m), 700 m from the center of Lenk and the shopping center. It is located on the mezzanine level of Chalet Pirol, which has four units. The property is situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac among other vacation homes, all built in the “Simmental-style.” In addition to the 67 square meters of living space, the property features a south-facing balcony with access to the sunbathing lawn in the garden, a reserved parking space in front of the house, a ski storage room, and a laundry room. From the dining area, living room, and balcony, you have a magnificent view of the main Alpine ridge, which rises over 3,000 meters. With no industrial air pollution, you can enjoy a spectacular starry sky at night. The nearby Lenker Seeli, located within this nature reserve, invites you to take a romantic evening stroll to watch the ducks after a full day of skiing on the slopes of Lenk and Adelboden, or in the summer after a relaxing or strenuous mountain hike. Lenk-Simmental offers many activities on its own website, where you’ll also find activities for children. The AlpKultur playground for children of all ages has been built at Lenker Seeli. The Strubeli-Bähnli (for a fee) takes children on a ride through the grounds. Two barbecue areas are available for free use. The brave—both children and adults—can test their agility on the high-rope bridge. Every September, you can experience the cattle drive in the neighboring village of St. Stephan. The farmers then lead their decorated cows back down from the alpine pastures into the valley. Every July, Lenk hosts the largest New Orleans jazz festival in the Alps. When “jazz fever” breaks out in Lenk, renowned jazz bands from a wide variety of backgrounds perform in the festival tent on Kronenplatz in a cozy open-air atmosphere. During the day, these passionate musicians entertain vacationers with concerts on the street or on the numerous sun-drenched terraces. With over 200 km of trails, Lenk has something for everyone. And you don’t even have to travel far! Lenk has its own local mountain: the Betelberg/Leiterli. A hiking trail leads up this mountain through varied vegetation. But you can also take a 6-person gondola at affordable prices up to the top station at 1,943 m, where the Restaurant Leiterli is located—perhaps with a stop for coffee at the Stoss midway station. (In summer, seniors receive discounts on a 3-course meal at Restaurant Leiterli on two days. For children, there’s a play area up on the mountain with an enclosed slide on the slope. On the Alpine Flower Trail—a loop trail through the highlands—many of the plants blooming on the alpine pastures are identified. On the other side of the valley, the gondola at Metsch is a good starting point for exploring the shared area with Adelboden. A road accessible by car leading to Bühlberg also allows for extended hikes over the Hahnenmoos Pass—which features a mountain restaurant (a live camera shows the surrounding area online)—and serves as a launch site for model airplane enthusiasts. You can also take the buses (free with a guest card—the SimmentalCard) to the starting points of the various hiking trails around Lenk, and high-altitude hikes are also possible. Whether you’d like to take a leisurely stroll through the wide valley, for example to the “Lenker Seeli,” or a magnificent hike across blooming alpine meadows with orchids and cotton grass or to the impressive waterfalls; whether you prefer the interesting alpine nature trails (which provide information on native plants like edelweiss and gentian and animals like lynx and marmots) or want to stop for a snack during your hike at one of the many alpine huts where the farmer still

The accommodation was in great order. Well equipped kitchen, nice living room and perfect bedrooms. Any question we had, was answered quickly. Upfront information / documentation was thorough. The view from the balcony: amazing! And when you step outside and walk around for a couple of minutes, it gets even better. The apartment is surrounded by mountains with waterfalls and snowy peaks - simply beautiful! We've gone on some great hikes and we've had amazing views on every single one. One of the best holiday trips we've ever been on!

Apartment perfectly clean and comfortable, all instructions about apartment usage very clear, all communications with property manager very clear and timely. We would defiitively recommend it for a location to visit the Alps area in train or by car and outdoor activities.

My husband and I have already stayed many times at Chalet Pirol during the winter and summer periods, and each stay has been a wonderful time for us. We enjoy staying at Chalet Pirol as we find it to be very cozy and comfortable and is located in a very peaceful and quiet environment. The apartment also has a very nice fireplace which gives the place a great atmosphere. We also like Chalet Pirol for its easy access to the cross country tracks, walking and cycling trails. We feel at home each time we come here! Everything is perfect, although we wish there could be access to WiFi system.Thank you for making each of our stays a wonderful and relaxing experience!
