About this house rental
The detached house - "Podere Fortunato" - offers real vacation feeling for up to 6 people. On two floors it has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen, loggia with large dining table and a south/west facing terrace with adjacent pool area. Two bedrooms each have a bathroom adjacent. The third bedroom uses the third bathroom one floor below. Under the pergola you can feast in the shade of a wisteria, relax in the lounge area or enjoy a drink at the outdoor bar.
The 5 x 10 m pool adjacent to the terrace has sun loungers, parasols and an outdoor bar with bar stools and refrigerator. The pool is used exclusively by the guests of Podere Fortunato. It is not fenced. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset among the Tuscan hills.
At the foot of the extinct volcano "Monte Amiata" you are in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. Mountain bikers will get their money's worth here. Around the "Monte Amiata" there are numerous thermal baths. Some rivers are warmed by the inflowing hot thermal water and offer a special bathing pleasure even in the cool season.
Only a few kilometers away you will find the valley "Val D'Orcia" which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. Only 20 km away is the picturesque village of Pienza which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wine lovers will feel at home here. Seggiano is located on the Montecucco wine route. Montalcino (home of Brunello red wine) and Montepulciano (home of Vino Nobile) are also nearby.

Absolutely fantastic house in the hills of Tuscany! Lovely bedrooms - air con is perfect - and 2 beautiful an suites as well as an extra third bathroom also housing a washing machine. Wonderful kitchen with everything one could think of including toaster, coffee maker, juicer, milk frother, mixer etc! Lots of cutlery and crockery so no need to run the dishwasher after every meal. Loads of condiments - thanks! And oil and vinegar as well as sugar and salt - perfect! Just top up when used up. Excellent pool with bar and fridge. Lovely dining area and living room as well as dining area al fresco on the veranda. Absolutely love the house - and communication with the hosts super easy and super quick! Can really recommend! Need a car as really out in the sticks but well worth it as quiet and all on your own!

We had a wonderful stay at Iris’ home. The house and surrounding property are absolutely beautiful and is located in a great area to explore the Tuscan countryside and towns. The home was very clean, had comfortable beds and an excellently stocked kitchen. Iris was a lovely host with great communication. We highly recommend and would love to stay again!

A homely, clean and well appointed and equipped house Great location, lots of places to visit nearby or just enjoy being there, the beautiful views and peace of the house. The new pool will be a wonderful addition for summer.
