About this cabin rental
The romantic Nockalpenhütte is covered in snow at an elevation of 1,800 meters in one of Carinthia’s highest mountain villages, Falkertsee. Here, above the clouds, surrounded by crisp mountain air and the invigorating, healthy high-altitude climate of the Southern Alps, you can relax all year round. The lovingly furnished wooden cabin offers space for families of 4–5 people. In winter, the traditional tiled stove—the heart of the cabin—guarantees cozy warmth. On the sheltered wooden terrace, you can enjoy the sun and the magnificent panoramic view of the mountains—from the Nockberge to the Karawanken—even in winter, while wearing just a T-shirt, and let your mind wander. Of course, the traditional log cabin also offers all the comforts you need for a relaxing vacation. This includes a fully equipped kitchen with a glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and more. The bathroom is clean and functional. Accessible by car year-round. Pets welcome

Mountain biking / cycling: Right in front of the cabin, a true paradise for all mountain biking enthusiasts begins! From “trails” to “singletrack,” you’ll find nearly endless opportunities to explore the mountains on your bike.
Swimming / Wellness: Hardy swimmers can cool off in the summer at Falkertsee (up to 18°C), while others are invited to the spa in Bad Kleinkirchheim (15 minutes by car), Millstätersee, Wörthersee, and Ossiachersee (30–30°C; 45-minute drive), or as part of a short day trip to Italy or Slovenia on the Adriatic coast (about a 2-hour drive).

Lovely old chalet high up in the mountains. A bit dated interior, but with a nice relaxing mood to it. Location is close, 5m walk, to the Falkertsee and easy to reach, at least in the summertime. Beds are good. One larger room has been split into two. The wall blocks vision, but no sound. As it was just the two of us, we had plenty of space. The view from de balcony was very nice with the early morning sun warming you during a quiet cup of coffee.

We just loved this place! Very cozy, quite, small little hut - enough room for giving a place to eat and sleep to the five of us. Drying our clothes from the day out skiing at the fireplace worked great. Everything we needed was there - well equipped kitchen. Great host / owner, always available, when we had a question - very friendly and helpful. We'll definetely come back, if we visit the area again!!! Thanks for having us!

alles wie beschrieben und für uns Zwei genau richtig. Alles notwendige ist vorhanden, selbst Internet und Waschmaschine. Frühstücken mit Aussicht. Nette und unkomplizierte Begrüßung vor Ort durch "Pepe".
Das Bad und die Treppe ins "Untergeschoss" benötigen eine kleine Überholung.
Alles in Allem ein schöner Urlaub.

Wir haben uns mit unseren zwei großen Schweizer Sennenhunden in der Nockalpenhütte sehr wohl gefühlt.
Der Ausblick war herrlich die Lage einmalig.Die Hütte ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Wir waren Ende Mai-Anfang Juni dort.Kaum Touristen dort so das es im Umkreis schlecht war nach 17 Uhr essen zu gehen. Im nahegelegenen Kärntner Haus(Restaurant) sehr unhöfliche Gastgeber.
