Description was misleading - there are 30 stairs up to the first floor.

The location was great - and it was awesome to have a parking space right at the property.

I had seen reviews about the stairs, so made a special request to ask if there were lots of stairs to access the apartment. I explained that I was travelling with my elderly (87) mother and 2 teenage children. The response was: "I have moved you to the first floor as opposed to the second floor so less stairs but still some stairs." I kept the booking as this reassured me that it was only the first floor and had 'some' stairs. The owner was very economical with the truth, as on arrival there were 3 flights of stairs (30 stairs total). My mum got up to the apartment on the first night, but it was not going to work for all 4 nights. I had to find alternative accommodation for her for the remainder of our stay, which cost her another £220. When I told the owner that this had happened he said "I am sorry to hear its not worked out for your mother. There is nothing I can do about the stairs.". The fact is that he could have told is there were 3 flights of stairs in the first place, so I could have booked something more accessible. Also, the hot water tap in the kitchen was barely more than a drip - response: "yes, don't worry about that", there was only one teaspoon, and there wasn't bedding put out for the sofabed. With my mum, 2 teenager (boy and girl) and myself, we were definitely going to need it. The owner did say he 'hadn't joined the dots on that one' and told me where to find the sheets. The double bed was comfortable, but the 2 single beds felt very cheap. The responses were pretty disappointing and we felt misled. I have raised our concerns with Booking.com and would suggest the owner puts in the description that the first-floor apartment is up 30 stairs, and the 2nd floor apartment more stairs beyond that (I don't know how many). We would hope that the owner may consider some compensation for our costs.

Overall, really good and we would be happy to use it again.

Great location and comfy. Parking a real benefit. Very handy to all of Harrogate on foot so no need to use car.

Parking is snug but adequate. But this is Harrogate so any parking is a real bonus.

We had a lovely 2 nights at the flat, not sure I’d stay again but only because of the amount of steps and the parking.

Although we knew there would be some steps, we didn’t anticipate so many so I think a bit too much for pensioners, needs to be made clearer. Advertised suitable for 6 people, not enough cutlery for 6 people if intending on having proper meals Although cleaning agents were provided there was no washing up liquid. TV remote needs new batteries & a back on the remote Parking is very tight & was made worse by the narrowness of the street & a vehicle parked right opposite.

Great location and comfy. Parking a real benefit. Very handy to all of Harrogate on foot so no need to use car.
