The worst place I have ever stayed in....

location is good

The apartment has draining and sewage problems in the bathroom that sees water rise through the bathroom floor tiles when the shower is being used..... the entire apartment smells like a public toilet. We paid for 7 nights but found the smell unbearable so checked out after 2 nights after informing Bookings.com and the property owner that we were doing so for our health's sake. A no refund was in place but surely given that the apartment is presented in such condition should be null and void as nobody should be expected to live in putrid conditions. We ended up losing about 550 Euro as the owner just refused to acknowledge the obviously hygiene issues and unrentable standard of this apartment. Appears to be a rehearsed scam as previous comments from guests raise the same issues, and don't expect any protection from booking.com either. In addition, the beds and pillows were terrible, overflowing rubbish bins and communal ashtrays and empty alcohol bottles stored right next to the front door is what we were greeted with upon our arrival. Large groups staying up stairs and drinking until 3am makes the place even less inviting, an outright that dump that should NOT be listed to rent. To be avoided - we found a much larger place in a similar location that was better priced.
