About this apartment rental

Charming, colorful, and affordable:
Our guest apartment—your home away from home in Vienna!—is located a 10-minute walk from downtown Vienna, the famous Vienna State Opera, and the popular Naschmarkt; a bus stop is 50 meters away, and the subway is 200 meters away. The 50-square-meter apartment overlooks a very quiet and spacious inner courtyard with a view of an old brick building that you can enjoy from our balcony. Starting now, we also have a GUEST PARKING SPOT in the courtyard (which makes us especially happy, since Vienna has just about everything—except parking spots!) The parking fee is 15 euros per day.

Our centrally located apartment in Vienna is a hidden gem, perfect for a romantic city getaway for two as well as for a business trip (office, printer, and Wi-Fi available). In your home away from home in Vienna, you’ll be staying in Alt-Margareten, one of the trendiest parts of Vienna right now. The local scene, with its new, chic bars, is booming; at the same time, the “Grätzel”—as the Viennese affectionately call their immediate neighborhood—is known for its long tradition of traditional inns, with its old taverns, quaint bars, and Viennese cafés. Many young designers and fashion creators have also recently set up shop here, which is definitely worth exploring.

We hope you feel right at home with us! The following “goodies” await our guests:

* A sweet welcome treat as a gift from the house
* A wine rack featuring a selection of Austrian red and white wines
* A starter pack of snacks and drinks in the fridge
* An extensive reading corner with Austrian literature
* A small collection of CDs from Austria.
* A souvenir box with very special Viennese mementos
* Free Wi-Fi
* Balcony with a small herb garden
* Photos of young Austrian artists on the walls
* Detailed guest information folder with very personal tips from your hosts for your stay in Vienna!
* Private parking space right outside the door

We’re sure there’s something here for you, too! Our goal is for you to say, at the end of your vacation, just like our former emperor:
*** IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL, I LOVED IT SO MUCH! *** :)

This charming vacation rental is called “Vienna House,” which could be translated as “Viennese House.” It’s located in downtown Vienna, just a 10-minute walk from the opera house and the famous “Naschmarkt.” This is not part of a chain of apartments; the Vienna House is a privately owned property. Your hostess, Nina, will give you a warm welcome and make sure you enjoy your stay. She can also help you book tickets for a concert or other event.

The vacation rental is a 50-square-meter apartment—much larger than a typical hotel room—and ideal for two people. The apartment is furnished with new, modern furniture and includes a TV, free wireless Internet access, a dishwasher, an oven, a Nespresso coffee machine, heating, a toaster, and much more—everything you could possibly need, plus a few things you didn’t even know you needed but will be pleasantly surprised to find here. :) We can also offer you a private parking spot in the courtyard (for 15 euros per day).

First of all, there’s a “souvenir box”—artistic and authentic, filled by Nina with carefully selected little items made by local artists and designers. Plus, there are photos by young local artists, which you can, if you’d like, take off the wall and pack in your suitcase when you leave.

There are city maps and a booklet put together for you by Nina that includes her personal recommendations for bars, restaurants, and shops in this neighborhood. It’s called Margareten, and it’s no exaggeration to say that it’s currently the most vibrant and dynamic neighborhood in Vienna—very trendy, teeming with small designer boutiques and cafés, as well as traditional Viennese pubs (“Beisl”) and guesthouses. The famous “Naschmarkt” and the Old Town are just a 10-minute walk away. And at the end of the day, you might want to enjoy a quiet evening on the balcony of your Viennese home with a glass of Austrian wine, which

The apartment is as listed with everything needed for a nice stay. Nina was a great hostess and met us at the building. Communication was excellent. The apartment is in a good location at the back of the building (very quiet) and for us a 25 minute walk to the Opera house (go out to Margaretenstrasse and turn left, then walk to old town). The Naschmarkt is on the way a couple streets to the left. The Argentinean beef restaurant was excellent. The Kellenbruckenglasse metro is about a 9 minute walk. Turn left on Margaretenstrasse and then make a quick left onto Wehrgasse and go straight to the station. The neighborhood has all the conveniences close by; a grocery store about a block away. Restaurants, bakeries and Gelato are within 1-5 minute walk. The neighborhoods outside the ring are pleasant to stroll around in. There is much to enjoy in Vienna besides old town.
