The stay was very pleasant

The Location is great

We could not use the gas braai and there was no blankets available

8 / 10

In summary I’ll be going back if I could monthly that’s how good it was 😊

Beautiful view, very spacious and comfortable space.

There were a few things not working by the time we arrived, no inconvenience though

4 / 10

Not bad

It has everything we needed

Jacuzzi was making lots of noise, I think it needs a bit of servicing. A host needs to do a bit of an upgrade in furniture and change the carpets, I couldn’t survive a bit in the sitting room my sinuses were triggered because of that carpet. The outdoor loungers were extremely dirty.

Terrible experience at a HBTC managed Zimbali unit 611

Location and view

It was my 50th birthday on that day ,I engaged in multiple emails to HBTC the holding company for the unit before we arrived because I had seen the reviews about the air con ,hot tub ,gas braai not working they assured me everything was working, 3 days before booking in they said aircon pump packed up no aircon they will arrange fans or we can change to another unit looked at the reviews on that unit also were below an 8 and lots of issues ,agreed to fans .Got to the unit hot tub not working, gas grill not working ,spoke multiple times on whatsapp to the 2 ladies in charge nothing was sorted out ,rust on handles ,dirty shower walls simple cleaning of a high end flat ,loose toilet seat .Unit accommodates 4 but you have 3 champagne glasses .We paid R1500 breakage deposit they only gave R1200 sighting the reason for that towels had makeup stains on them that required special chemicals to be used that's not a breakage ,washing towels is your responsibility I didn't break anything. What they didn't tell us is Zimbali suites and The Capital have different owners and we are treated as a lower class can't go here ,can't do this ,pay entrance into this pool area R300 per person ,private events pay R100 per person etc .Only decent thing at Zimbali was Copper restaurant well done to them food was excellent .Problem here is management ,HBTC should be ashamed of themselves your maintenance of your units is sub standard and service very poor ,we won't be coming back .I want my full breakage fee back and you should give me a portion of my rental back for the multiple things not working .

Location is great

The aircon was not working. They had fans provided but due to the high temperatures it circulated the hot air, so it was very uncomfortable throughout the stay. The gas braai didn't work with bad damage so had to use the oven to prepare meals. My son's ear pods was taken from his room.
