About this house rental
Tips from the owner: In the house, there’s a book with business cards for numerous trattorias, pizzerias, restaurants, wine bars, and much more. You can read our recommendations, including comments on the location, service, and value for money. You’ll also find our suggestions for places where you can taste and buy wine directly from the winemaker. You can also get the famous olive oil directly from farmers near us. Our local grocery store has a simple but very good wine (red and rosé) right in the village. Many guests have stocked up there (about 2.55 to 2.95 euros per bottle). Our small vacation library, with maps and travel guides of all kinds, is also available. If you’d like to know more, please contact me. I look forward to your call or email.
Happiness on earth—is found on horseback: I now have a special tip for horseback riders. There’s a very well-run equestrian farm near us. There, you can go on wonderful guided rides. Depending on your preference, rides range from 1.5 hours to 2 days. The riding instructor is German and very friendly—also great for kids. The rides take place in the beautiful countryside above Lake Garda in the Gaino area. You’ll ride among cypress trees, lemon trees, and olive groves… it’s a dream! The equestrian center is in Gaino—you can reach us by car or directly by mountain bike. The riding center is called Scuderia Castello. Tel.0039 0365 644101 —reservation required.
Water sports: sailing—there’s a sailing school right in Bogliaco. Boats can also be rented there. The internationally renowned Centomiglia race takes place every September. It’s a real spectacle and also very exciting to watch from shore—especially the party afterward. Surfers can rent boards at the school in Gargnano. The equipment is excellent and run by a great German team—Klaus always has a tip for you.
