The traditional inn is beautiful and great value for money. I slept well in the shared women's dormitory.
The kitchen and lounge spaces have great amenities and I had no problem with showering when I wanted to, despite only two showers being available (and two toilets). The location is easy to find and a short walk from the ferry port/cafés and restaurants. It is easy to catch a bus to the museums.
The shower room was a little dirty (maybe mould?). The attached coffee shop was also closed, so I couldn't use my voucher provided by the hostel, but that can't really be helped. I would like to stay again and try it next time.

The geographical location is good, and it is very convenient to visit the home plan in this village area.
Because it is an old house, the sound insulation is inevitably poor.

Conveniently located in Hommura, 6 mins from the 2nd port of Naoshima. Besides Minamidera(James Turrell’s work), Ando Museum and so many more. Old Japanese house and there’s a lovely coffee shop attached to it for your convenience. Fantastic staff!!!
Noise. The typical paper sliding doors with creaking floors but it is what it is. The temple(?) nearby did some ritual thingy in the evening till 9pm, drumming and chanting - little boys’ screaming.
