Clean and comfortable accommodation - I stay here whenever I stop over in Matatiele. Far enough off the road to be quiet. Friendly hosts, vegetarian dinner arranged at short notice, good buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Not licensed but BYO is no problem. Decent wi-fi.
Ambient light can be an issue at night - my room this time had a thick curtain over the door.

Was the perfect restful and comfortable stopover from KZN to Cape Town, having previously stayed there on our way up to KZN. The staff were exceptionally helpful, even helping with our luggage during rain and snow! Breakfast exceeded our expectations, gave us a good start to a long day on the road. Accommodation was extremely comfortable!!

Absolutely loved our stay at resthaven. The owners were very friendly, and the facilities were amazing. Everything was immaculatent and clean. Highlight was waking up to the snow. This will be a return for us and remembering our passports next time...
That I am not able to score higher than 10
