Top Side Cottage on Somes Sound comes with a deep water dock perfect for fishing or keeping your boat. Enjoy the sunrise and quiet island atmosphere from your own deck, and listen to the loons at sunset. A deepwater mooring is complimentary if you are bringing / renting a boat. Top Side Cottage is well maintained, and kept to the highest standards in cleanliness and quality. We provide all the firewood you need, soap, detergent, paper towels, trash removal, and even a large kettle to cook your fresh Maine lobsters which you may purchase at boat price from our dock. Awesome accommodation for our family within easy reach of busy Bar Harbor and quieter Southwest Harbor. A spotless retreat!Plus the back deck offers a fantastic view of Somes Sound and we had so many wildlife visitors: deer, fox and porcupine!

What a fantastic property! They have thought of everything and provided a great list of nearby activities as well as books, games, playing cards. Excellent lobster prices from Paul the host. Sorry we took the clothes pin with us when we left!

This place is a gem! The view is stunning, the hosts are friendly, the house was so clean, and the location is close to everything we wanted to do.
