Great stay we will come again

As the location was outside Viterbo it meant that we had no city noise around. The house was self contained, was very comfortable and clean. There were enough glasses to offer drinks to an army though, curiously, only 2 saucepans. I almost forgot to mention the 4 hosts who were all very helpful and kind. Silvia the daughter (who speaks excellent English) and organised everything, Laura and Sandro who are I believe are Silvia's parents and were always ready to help and solve problems) and lastly Teo the dog who was always there to greet us with a wag of his tail when we came back from the day's tour, was on the doorstep when we went out in the morning, looked sad when we drove away and regularly came by to see how we were doing a give us a wag of his tail. For that he was paid well by us with a scratch behind the ears which he liked.

This is in no way a criticism of the property itself. If you are a light sleeper like I am take some earplugs with you. The reason is a frequent one in Italy in that property owners (such as the neighbours here) keep dogs in cages on their property. As the neighbours dont actually sleep on their property the caged dogs tend to bark a lot in the night. This prompts other dogs to join in and etc ...you get the picture. A good friend of mine and his wife campaigned for many years to get these type of dogs to be released from their cages.
