My family really enjoyed our stay! The place felt like home, was very clean and cosy, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the amazing rooftop terrace! The sandy beach was just a short walk away, so we went there every day. Giusy was a lovely host — she arranged self-check-in for us and also came to meet us in person, which was a nice touch. We had a great time and would happily stay here again!
The only small challenge was having just one bathroom for six people, but with a little planning, we managed just fine.

The owner was extremely kind, the communication was easy even though I don't speak Italian. The apartment was very big, and had very spacious outside part where we spent most of our time. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed during our stay there.
It was very kind from the owner to offer some refreshment drinks when we arrive. :)
It is a bit far from the nice beaches but it's doable - and we knew this before we booked the apartment. Maybe it's not recommended to those people who cannot walk too much, but we could, so it wasn't a big problem. :)

Overall, the location of the apartment is good, especially if you like the sea and rocky beaches. It is close to the coast and was a convenient base for exploring south-eastern Sicily.
The host herself was nice and helpful, and communication was good, so this is not a criticism of her personally. My comments are mainly about the apartment and what I would expect from accommodation at this price.
However, I booked the apartment quite last minute and, unfortunately, did not pay enough attention to the equipment listed. For a one-week stay with two children, the lack of a washing machine, dishwasher and even a vacuum cleaner was a real inconvenience. I honestly did not expect that an apartment costing more than €110 per night, even in the low season, would not have such basic facilities. There was only a broom, which was not really sufficient for keeping the apartment clean during a week's stay with children. In 2026, this feels very outdated for this price level. The second bed (sofa bed) was not comfortable - it is hard to sleep on it straight, it feels like sleeping in a hollow.
There were also several smaller things that could easily have been provided but were missing, such as a proper coffee maker or teapot. For 4 guests, having only 2 teaspoons and 3 soup plates was also rather strange and inconvenient.
I was also quite surprised by the condition of the streets around Fontane Bianche. We travelled extensively by car around south-eastern Sicily and visited few towns and villages, and some places, such as Avola, Noto, were noticeably cleaner and better maintained. In Fontane Bianche, there was a lot of rubbish along the streets and roads, which unfortunately affected our overall impression of the area.
What I found particularly sad was seeing rubbish so close to the sea. As tourists, we felt that there was a strong contrast between the beauty and potential of the area and the way some public spaces are maintained. Sicily has an incredible coastline and landscape, and it is unfortunate to see so much waste around it.
