Access to property was very easy. Property was very clean & comfortable.
The location is excellent with all major sites in walking distance.
There is no option for luggage storage, but São Bento Station is in easy walking distance where there are luggage storage fascilities. Despite many sites stating that the Luggage Storage at São Bento is only coin operated, you can now use credit cards. There is a small supermarket across the street from the property but found there were plenty of supermarkets in walking distance. The nearest FROIZ supermarket, is definately worth the walk up the hill, My Aychan & Aliados supermakerts are also in walking distance. The Pingo Doce chain is also worth a visit especially for their variety of daily fresh breads, rolls, pastries and other savoury foodstuffs. Bolhão Market (Mercado do Bolhão ) is a must visit place & a good place to also stock up on fruit , vegetables, meat & seafood for the apartment. Confeitaria do Bolhão & Manteigaria both have outstanding pasteis de nata and are both just outside the mercado do bolhão. I would also highly recommend any of the many free walking tours of Porto by Revolutours ( The guides are so good you actually feel good paying/tipping for their service)
The Apartment staircase is beautiful and fortunately I am able to do the flight of stairs to the very top floor where our studio was situated, but without a lift/elevator, this would not be suitable accomodation for anyone who cannot manage stairs.

We stayed in apartment 4 on the top floor. Excellent location, central but not noisy. Fantastic shower with great water pressure, better than in Hilton. Comfortable accomodation and responsive host. A filtered water fountain in the lounge on the 1st floor was a great touch. Comfy beds and nice sofa to sit on. There were wooden shutters on the windows which darkened the room completely, and made lay-ins possible. Air-con was very efficient, the place was clean and really lovely to stay in. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures.
Would have been nice to have enough tea and coffee to last us the entire stay (but to be fair we didn’t ask for more, it may have been an option). The exposed lightbulbs are a bit bright on the eyes, lampshades would resolve the issue. Would be good to have another mirror with good light source to do make up. The one in the bathroom had very good light but we were three girls and the one in the wardrobe didn’t have enough light. Some power sockets didn’t work.

Great location and a wonderful room with high ceilings.
Wouldn’t provide an extra sheet, or change a sheet, without charging us for a full cleaning. Also didn’t provide coffee every day.
