There are definitely things to be conscious of before booking. The good: - Quiet location relatively close to the old town and grocery stores, bakeries, etc (approx 10 minute walk) - Accommodation itself is as described - Floor level lighting on steps to help navigate stairs in the middle of the night (see comment below) - Communication with host was good with clear instructions

The not so great / things to be conscious of: - The kitchen and dining area plus 1 toilet is on the ground floor - One bedroom, ensuite (no toilet) and lounge room is on the second level, with the 2 additional bedrooms and bathroom (with toilet) on the third floor. So, if sleeping on the second floor you will need to either go upstairs or downstairs to use the toilet - The shower facility on the third floor is a bath with handheld shower-head - Minimal provisions are supplied (eg only one dishwasher tablet, one clothes washing tablet, etc.). While the listing says “free toiletries” are provided, only the bare minimum was provided, e.g. one roll of toilet paper for each toilet (plus a few near-empty rolls), combined shampoo/body wash (no conditioner), etc. - The towels were thin/well-used and rough I note the host’s response to a previous guest’s negative comments about some of these issues. We have been travelling through Europe for the past 10 weeks and have stayed in approximately 17 holiday rentals across a range of accommodation booking platforms. Our comments are therefore based on recent experience and similar style accommodation (not hotels). Almost everywhere else provided appropriate supplies for the length of the stay (eg dishwashing and laundry tablets, toilet paper, etc) and in some cases they went the extra mile to provide additional toiletries, multiple tea towels for the kitchen (not just 1!), a fresh kitchen sponge/cloth, and even some food gifts. They try to ensure their guests have a great experience beyond the bare minimum. You won’t get that here and will need to either bring your own essentials (not easy if you’re travelling internationally!) or buy them yourself and no doubt have to purchase in quantities far greater than what you’ll need for the stay.

Eine schöne Ferienunterkunft in Laufnähe zum Ortskern, Sehr gute Infrastruktur, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Gepflegtes Haus. Solide Bausubstanz, trotz der Hitzewelle haben wir die Klimaanlage nicht benötigt. Gut eingerichtete Küche, schöner Aufenthaltsraum im 1. Obergeschoss. Wir hoffen, dass alle Besucher respektvoll mit dem Haus umgehen. Es benötigt einen verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit der Einrichtung uns Gestaltung - wie zum Beispiel den liebevoll gestalteten Böden und Wänden. Für Familien mit "unruhigen" Kindern oder energiegeladenen Teenagern (bitte nicht missverstehen, das verstehen wir vollkommen) gibt es sicher besser geeignete Alternativen. Für kleine Kinder sind auch die Treppen nicht geeignet (Sturzgefahr)

On a tout aimé dans ce logement, l’emplacement, la propreté, elle est située dans un endroit très calme et le centre-ville est à 10 minutes à pied. Cette villa porte bien son nom, c’est un véritable havre de paix. Nous vous recommandons sincèrement ce logement. Nous avons visité des endroits magnifiques : Saint Remy de Provence, les baux de Provence, Roussillon,gordes. Des restaurants incroyables (lla cuisine des anges, le roucas, le petit rocher), dégusté des huiles d’olive au domaine du castelas, la dégustation de vin au mas de gourgonnier. Bref nous avons logé dans un lieu incroyable et la région est splendide. Merci pour cette belle parenthèse.

Property itself inside was pleasantly decorated with basic furniture etc

Property has potential but unfortunately overall expectations were ruined by lack of basic necessities/stinginess in providing basic amenities such as enough toilet paper, dishwasher tablets/laundry detergent. The place was booked for 5 nights for 5 people and we had to ask for additional toilet paper, and soap which even then the xtra that was provided was one extra washing tablet. There were no garbage bags or kitchen paper. Parking was horrible and tough to get into and it's a pretty rundown neighborhood.
